It’s that time of year again! The Sephora VIB sale started April 16th and runs through April 21st. Although 15% off doesn’t seem like much, when you take into account that the only other sale happens in November, it’s worth it to stock up on staples and try out new items. Here are the things that I’m really tempted to pick up.
Anastasia Contour Kit in Light to Medium
I’ve been eying this palette for ages but I couldn’t bring myself to buy it. It has two highlighters, a yellow setting powder, a greying contour, and two bronzer shades. Although I’m not a fan of cardboard packaging, the colors swatch beautifully.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
This is another palette that I have been lusting after for ages. The packaging is gorgeous and the product itself gets great reviews. If I cave and get this, I may not be able to resist getting more powders from the range. They all look amazing!
Nars Satin Lip Pencil
I got a duo of these for my birthday gift from Sephora. They are awesome and I can see what all the hype is about. Currently I'm on the hunt for a bright orange lipstick for the summer, so Timanfaya is right up my alley. I will say the matte ones are a bit drying but I found that a lipbalm or Mac Prep and Prime Lip underneath fixes that problem.
Nars Tinted Moisturizer
This is another sample that I have been trying out recently. I have the shade Groeland. While it is a bit too dark for me now, it seems like it would be a great color for the summer. It gives the best coverage I’ve ever experienced from a tinted moisturizer while still feeling super light on the skin.
Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist's Palette
So this palette is sold out online and I can see why. It has a great color selection and the packaging looks beautiful. I really don’t need another eyeshadow palette but I may cave and get this one in store if they still have it in stock. Fingers crossed!
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
For the past few years I’ve been on the hunt for a good serum. Thanks to the sun worshiping of my younger self, I’ve already started getting fine lines on my forehead that I want to tackle before they get worse. I’ve also noticed that my skin is more uneven than a few years ago. This serum has gotten rave reviews so I’m really tempted to see what all the hype is about and if it makes a difference with my skin concerns.
Tory Burch perfume
I got a sample of this last fall and I fell in love. It has Bergamot, my all time favorite scent, as one of its notes. The packaging is also gorgeous. Tori, you just may make it to the exclusive group of perfumes on my dresser after all!
In conclusion, I would like to point out that Sephora is really smart by giving out samples. This is the third sample on this wishlist that has made me want to spend money on the actual product. Darn you Sephora and your effective marketing!
